To The Moon And Back (with some roadblocks and detours along the way)

Storms are not always scary. As a matter of fact, they can be beautiful, relaxing and down right romantic. This is the type of event that always gets you thinking about life- specifically yours.

I’m just going to go ahead and beat a very dead horse here and say- life isn’t perfect. We all know that- but we all want to believe that at times, it can seem like a fairy tale where the Prince saves the Princess, or the Prince saves the Prince, or the Princess saves the Princess- whatever tickles your fancy and however you want it to play out. We all fantasize about life the way we want it to play out or the way we wish it could play out.

Don’t get me wrong when I say that regardless of life not seeming perfect, there are many moments in life that could be construed as close to perfect. There are many moments in life that are not perfect but in hindsight can seem not so bad and endearing.

I am writing this blog to showcase random moments in life and the journey one can take to get to a place of acceptance and solice. The journey is not always easy. There can be detours from what was thought to be the correct path, as well as roadblocks that flat out thwart the end destination. Sometimes there is ambiguity when the end destination is thwarted but the idea that we can rewrite our path and travel an unknown route to get where we want, can be exciting and life changing.

I am going to be 40 years old this year and do not regret any of the choices I have made so far in my journey. No one should regret the choices they’ve made, but rather use them as a reflective tool. I was once married to an abusive man, divorced him, met the love of my life, battled breast cancer at age 35, had 2 children post cancer, and have had many other interesting paths that I have taken so far. I will touch on some of these areas as I divulge myself to you.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to providing you with something new to digest.

XOXO
